Bristol Zoological Society is a wildlife conservation and education charity, with an outstanding heritage and an exciting future. We are supported by around 300 volunteers across both sites (Bristol Zoo Gardens and Wild Place Project), who enhance our work across most departments and areas of activity. This year, Bristol Zoological Society is embarking on an exciting new strategy to safeguard our future, by relocating Bristol Zoo to the Wild Place Project site to create a world-class zoo for Bristol and the West of England.
We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team of Volunteer Coordination staff, to manage our teams of volunteers on a day to day basis and to support the Volunteer Services Manager in steering the transition of our amazing volunteers from two sites to one.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about the benefits of volunteering, have demonstrable experience in managing volunteers, skills in working with a huge variety of departments and supporting other staff in managing volunteers as part of their teams, and a passion for team working and developing people. Please be aware that his role involves weekend working.
