Zoo Animal Nutritionist

Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: between £26,644 - £31,500 depending on qualifications 

Location: Bristol Zoo Gardens and Wild Place Project

Contract Type: Permanent

Start Date: 5th September 2022


Bristol Zoological Society are looking to recruit an experienced nutritionist with a PhD or MSc in animal nutrition or a related field to join our veterinary team and help us to maintain optimal animal health and welfare.  

You should have a detailed understanding of zoo animal nutrition and dietary analysis and experience using dietary analysis software and of applied nutritional research.  You will also be required to train HE students in zoo and wild animal nutrition through the provision of formal and informal teaching and to supervise nutrition related research projects, so previous teaching experience would be an advantage.

If you are organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
