Animal Discovery Volunteers introduce our guests to some of our minibeasts and other smaller animals in ‘Animal Encounters’. They also get involved in “Zoo to you’, where we take smaller animals out into the local community.
We want our guests to be amazed by, and discover more, about our wonderful animals. Our Animal Discovery Volunteers are friendly and welcoming to our guests, and can really make their day!
Volunteers also help with the husbandry, or might be out and about in some of our ‘walkthrough’ exhibits such as Butterfly Forest, explaining about their fascinating lifecycles!
There is the opportunity to combine this role with the Children’s Craft Volunteer role.
