We have three different types of adoption packages: Bronze, Silver and Gold – with five animals to chose from for each.
Bronze, Silver and Gold adoptions range from £50-£99 regardless of which animal you choose. In addition, you can add a soft toy of your animal to the package for an extra £10.
Payment is made as a one-off payment for the whole year but you are given the option to renew the adoption for a further year, a month before the adoption expires. At this point you are welcome to swap the type of animal you adopt.
When you take out an adoption at Bristol Zoo Project, you adopt the species as a whole rather than an individual animal. This is because Bristol Zoological Society is involved in a wide range of international breeding programs, and individual animals need to be free to move to other zoos if necessary.

Bristol Zoological Society members receive 10% off the Bronze Adoption Package. The discount is valid for onsite purchases only. Simply show your membership card upon purchase to receive the discount.
At Bristol Zoo Project, we do not currently offer adopters’ names on the habitats as part of our adoption packages.
If you would like a permanent plaque in Bristol Zoo Project, why not have your own message on the Bear Wood walkway.
Your adoption will automatically start from the date the adoption is processed.
The quickest way to purchase your adoption is online as your information can be processed immediately.
Adoptions are posted as second class post via Royal Mail. Please allow up to 10 working days for the package to arrive.
