About

Michelle Barrows, Head of Veterinary Services & Conservation Medicine at Bristol Zoological Society, shares her vast experience working with exotic animals, from preventative everyday checkups to delivering emergency response and trauma care.

Bristol Zoological Society has long been a centre for excellence for zoological veterinary medicine, developing new treatments, procedures and tools for treating a range of different animal species, from giraffes, gorillas and okapi, to penguins, iguanas and stick insects.

Michelle’s talk will provide an insight into the joys – and challenges – of a ‘no typical’ day as a zoo vet!

This talk will start at 2pm with plenty of time for questions at the end, with a finishing time of 3.30pm.
