Last week, we launched a new Pay What You Can initiative. Running until Friday 28 March, it offers the chance to visit the zoo after 2pm for a donation of your choice. The suggested donation is half-price, but if this is out of reach, you can choose to pay less, no questions asked.

In the first week, we have welcomed nearly 1,500 guests under the offer, which aims to open up the zoo to those who may not have been able to visit us before. While we’re thrilled it is so popular, the demand has meant we’ve had to make some changes, to ensure everyone visiting with the offer has the best possible experience.

From today, all Pay What You Can visits must now be pre-booked online. There are free reservation slots you can select on our ticket booking page to save your spot. Simply choose how much you would like to donate when you arrive.

Please remember we are a conservation and education charity working to save wildlife around the world. Every penny you give will help us to achieve this mission. Please Gift Aid your donation on arrival if you are able, which allows us to claim an additional 25% on top of your donation, at no extra cost to you.

If the online slots are fully booked, please try another day! The number of slots are based on the maximum capacity of the zoo, each hour. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Pay What You Can slots are released for the same week on Mondays at 4pm. We expect weekend slots to fill up very quickly, so don't hesitate to book if you'd like to claim the offer.

Visitors that don’t have access to a smartphone or computer can call us on 0117 428 5300 and we will do our best to find them an available slot.
