Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Bristol Zoo Gardens & Wild Place Project
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 30 September 2022
Bristol Zoological Society is a wildlife conservation and education charity, with an outstanding heritage and an exciting future. The Society is embarking on an exciting new strategy to safeguard our future, by relocating Bristol Zoo to the Wild Place Project site to create a world-class zoo for Bristol and the West of England.
The new Bristol Zoo will offer spacious, modern facilities, significant growth in our conservation and education work, and an innovative and exciting visitor experience. In order to realise our exciting vision for the new Bristol Zoo, we will sell the Clifton site, and it will close to visitors in the autumn of 2022. So, after 185 years of operation it is fitting that we celebrate its heritage.
We are looking for someone to join our team to coordinate the planning, design, roll-out, and takedown of all elements of the public programme of temporary exhibits, events and activities, at both Bristol Zoo Gardens and Wild Place Project, and to focus in particular on the celebration of the last year of Bristol Zoo Gardens being open to visitors, ensuring a memorable summer finale.
