ZooRopia Course Rules and Restrictions

Please note

  • Please purchase your ticket before entering ZooRopia.
  • All those under the age of 16 must have the consent of their parents or guardian.
  • Admission and participation is at the discretion of the instructors.
  • Please be aware that the ZooRopia experience can be quite challenging.
  • Only participants on the course will be permitted in ZooRopia (family members and friends will be required to observe from outside the course boundary).

Dress Code

Please note that the following items can NOT be worn:

(if in doubt please ask an instructor before purchasing your ticket)

  • Jewellery and watches – please also empty your pockets.
  • High heels, ‘Crocs’ shoes or flip flops / unfastened sandals or any shoe that might fall off.
  • Skirts/dresses.


The course must not be used by anyone who is:

  • Over the weight of 114kg (18 stone).
  • Under 1.1m.
  • Under 5 years.
  • Pregnant.


The course must not be used by anyone who has:

  • A heart complaint.  
  • A spinal injury or a weak spine.
  • Any medical condition they consider may be exacerbated by participating in these activities.


Participants are fitted with personal protective equipment and secured to rope so they are safe at all times.

Safety is our number one priority.

Please be aware that here are some inherent risks associated with all such adventurous activities. Neither Bristol Zoo Gardens nor Head 4 Heights will accept liability for any such injury. Furthermore, neither Bristol Zoo nor Head 4 Heights will be liable for damage to clothing or personal effects.

ZooRopia at Bristol Zoo conforms to EN: 15567.

By buying a ticket the purchaser acknowledges all participants on the tickets have read and understood all Course Rules and Restrictions prior to commencing the activity.
